Georgetown County—Georgetown County Economic Development is looking to connect potential employees with its top employers. Next month, it will host a job fair similar to the one held last summer. Still in partnership with Horry-Georgetown Technical College, SC Works-Waccamaw, and the Waccamaw Regional Council of Governments, this second job fair will be on April 12 from 10 a.m to 2 p.m. at Horry-Georgetown Tech’s Advanced Manufacturing Center, located on the Georgetown campus.
The job fair will provide opportunities to Georgetown County’s communities. Whether they are looking for a fresh start, a better opportunity, or a new career direction, job seekers will be able to connect and apply on the spot with some of the county’s largest and most successful employers. Participating employers include SafeRack, Interfor, ScreenTight, MPW Services, and many more. Government employers including Georgetown County, Georgetown County Sheriff’s Office, and Georgetown County Emergency Services will also be on site with opportunities.
Tiffany Harrison, Georgetown County’s Director of Economic Development, and Maya Morant, Georgetown County’s Marketing Director of Economic Development, are excited to bring another job fair to the county.
“Georgetown County has a tremendous opportunity to grow. With our industries offering solid and sustainable wages, it is definitely a time to make sure the residents of Georgetown County know what’s available,” Harrison said.
“As a native of Georgetown County, I’m excited to see opportunities arise for our communities. Increasing job opportunities give our residents a chance to grow and thrive right here at home,” said Morant.
There is no registration required for potential employees. Employers looking to participate should contact Maya Morant or Rusty Gaskins for registration.
