Georgetown, SC – Morant and Morant Law Firm, located at 1022 Prince Street, Georgetown, South Carolina 29440 has been named the August 2021 Business of the Month recipient by the Georgetown County Chamber of Commerce. Morant and Morant Law Firm was formed in Georgetown County in 1983 by brothers Johnny Morant, Sr. and Louis Morant with concentration on personal injury, real estate – purchase, sale, heirs property, domestic – Family Court, probate. Louis Morant graduated from the University of South Carolina School of Law and Savannah State University. Morant currently serves as Chairman of the Georgetown County Council, being elected to that position in January 2021.
Johnny Morant, Sr. passed away in July 2020 and is survived by his wife, Janice, and their two children. He graduated from Savannah State University and the University of Illinois’ Law School. Johnny Morant, Sr. was elected to Georgetown County Council in 1993, and served as its chairman from 2008 until his retirement in 2018.
